Spiral Pilates is an exclusive pilates studio in Central London offering body conditioning, classical pilates and garuda classes. They have a reputation for creating unique classes and packages to suit varied abilities, including very high profile and celebrity clients.
To add to their busy timetable of pilates and body sculpting classes, Spiral Pilates have developed their own unique barre work class. For this they instructed Glass Installations to install our most robust ballet barre, our floor mounted posts.
Spiral Pilates have existing mirrors for training in their studio, as we can also offer wall fixed ballet barres which are installed within the mirror installation, usually half way between a full height mirror. Our wall fixed barres are fixed to a secure wood backing board together with brackets of the clients choice, powder coated steel or stainless steel. We also provide either double or single tier barres, depending on the requirement.
Our floor mounted posts as ordered by Spiral Pilates are a fantastic installation of a permanent fixed ballet barre where either there are existing mirrors or mirrors are not required. Studio barres have many uses, the most common use is in ballet classes and we fit floor mounted barres in many professional dance academies and schools such as the featured photos of The Northern Ballet and Dance East. But there are many other uses for a ballet barre, either in home or professional studios or gyms. They are a useful stretching tool and can often be used to create stretches or postures not possible without a barre. Barres in fitness studios can be used as a stability tool in core strengthening exercise and barres for rehabilitation purposes can also provide stability in physio rooms.
We provide a range of standard brackets and wood, but any of our products can be bespoke to fit the clients needs. Spiral Pilates and in fact the other featured photos of Dance East and Northern Ballet opted for our ash wood ballet barre fitted to the floor with powder coated steel posts. Modern and slimline in design this option fits with most decor and design. Our floor mounted posts are also available at adjustable height.
Located in South Kensington Spiral Pilates will be offering ‘booty barre’ and ‘barre tone’! Many of their teachers have a background in dance and pilates and the new classes will take you through an intense class with aspects of both ballet and pilates.
