Here at Glass Installations we are frequently asked if we can produce lightweight large scale mirrors. Our Featherweight Foil mirrors are the perfect solution for manufacturing large mirrors for film set construction, exhibitions and product launches, where the use of glass mirrors would  simply not be a possibility.

Size Does Matter!

As a way to create impact and effect for film and events settings, our Featherweight Foil mirrors can be manufactured to bespoke sizes up to 2m wide and up to 8m tall!  The photo below shows a foil mirror (the rear view) whilst being installed into position for a recent exhibition, this one was over 6m tall!  To the left is a wall of similar sized foil mirrors already in position.

Featherweight Foil Mirrors – Why Are They So Special?

Our unique Featherweight Foil Mirrors are manufactured using a specialised polyester aluminium foil and custom built aluminium frames.  The process used produces mirrors with a fantastic, sharp, reflective quality, equal to that of a glass mirror, which are shatterproof, lightweight and incredibly versatile.  These foil mirrors can be used in many situations where glass mirrors cannot be used because of weight restrictions or safety issues.  Featherweight Foil mirrors can be fixed to walls and ceilings, or made as a independent structure.
