The all new Wednesbury Leisure Centre is on track to open it’s door to the public later this month. Glass Installations are proud to have installed a large amount of dance & fitness mirrors, ballet barres and polycarbonate mirrors into the £7.1m project.
Dance & Fitness Mirrors & Barres Fitted
Building contractors, Interserve, asked us to install a large amount of our specialist mirrors and barres into the new Leisure Centre which has been constructed on the site of the old Leisure Centre in High Bullen, Wednesbury. A total of over 25m of Image “6” mirrors were installed into the the two dance studios and fitness suite, some of which included integrated double tier beech ballet barres. The customer also requested Polycarbonate mirrors to be fitted into many of the WCs and changing areas.
Facilities at the new Leisure Centre will include a 25m pool, a learner pool, two dance studios, a 100 station fitness suite and a new sports hall. The original plan was to construct the new Leisure Centre around the existing sports hall, but just shortly after work began on site the sports hall was targeted by arsonists and sadly most of the building destroyed, this resulted in a complete rebuild of the Leisure Centre.
Image “6” Mirrors & Ballet Barres
Our Image “6” safety dance & fitness mirrors with double tier beech ballet barres were installed into the two dance studios, and another run of Image “6” mirrors were fitted into the fitness studio. Our Image “6” mirrors are a popular choice when both safety and style is paramount an a project. The mirrors are safety backed and mechanically fixed using polished an aluminium J section fixing method, resulting in a safe yet attractive mirror installation.
