Rutland County Council recently contacted us to see if we could install dance studio mirrors and barres at the all new Active Rutland Hub, based at Oakham Enterprise Park, Leicester. The sports facilities are to be used by sports clubs, educational establishments, community organisations and a base for other dance, martial arts and gymnastics clubs. The hub boasts a three-court sports hall, multi-purpose studio and an artificial outdoor turf pitch.
Bespoke High Quality Mirrors – Within a Budget
The redevelopment of the Hub, which was formerly the Ashell Prison gym, was made possible due to a £500,000 grant from Sports England. The specification for high quality studio mirrors, which had a perfect image reflection and no unsightly fixings, whilst staying within budget. Our Image “6” Mirror and Barre system fitted the bill perfectly!
Image “6” Dance Studio Mirrors
As a more cost effective option to our top of the range Image “18” High Impact Mirror system, the Image “6” Mirror range doesn’t compromise on style, quality or safety but offers a bespoke solution to dance studio mirrors to fit a smaller budget. Fixed using a slim aluminium “J” fixing system, this gives an uninterrupted, high quality mirror reflection with no unsightly screw fixing on show. A class “A” safety backing is used, if a mirror is broken it will break cleanly with no shards or slivers and will remain in tact. The addition of the single tier ash ballet barres completed this stylish installation.
A Royal Visit
The Hub was officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal on 20th July 2015. Following a tour of the new state of the art Sports Hub, Princess Anne unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the occasion.
