We receive many general enquiries regarding gym mirrors such as “Where can I buy large gym mirrors?” or “What is the largest size gym mirror you can fit?”. We have many options of mirror solutions here at Glass Installations and one solution may not fit everyone’s specification. The suitability of mirror use is as important as the size. The largest sized mirror we can fit may be different to the largest sized gym mirror we can sell in one piece.
Large Gymnasium Mirrors
In most instances where we supply gym mirrors we are also fitting them, therefore depending on the overall required size we would fit safety mirrors with joins to form a run of mirrors or a ‘bank’ of mirrors.
Our largest single piece of bespoke mirror to date without joins has been 6400mm tall, that was made in our Featherweight Foil Mirror material. We have fitted many more standard large glass safety mirrors in runs larger than this.
Wall Fixed Mirror Options
Generally we do not stock ‘standard sized’ panels for gymnasium mirrors. All of our mirror designs are bespoke. If your wall isn’t a standard size and then you buy standard sized mirror from a cheap supplier, you may end up with mirror panels of odd sizes.
Glass Installations always install large gym mirrors that both fit the brief of filling an entire wall and creating a aesthetically pleasing and evenly spaced mirrored wall. Both our Image “18” and Image “6” mirror system can be used for large gym mirror installations.

Image “6” mirrors are a cost effective solution for large gymnasium mirror installations. Large wall fixed mirrors in home gyms, hotels or schools where the wall is ideally flat would suit the Image “6” option. They are vandal proof and fixed using a slim line “J” section. Image “6” mirrors are ideal where walls have been previoulsy prepared and can accept a mirror. For large gym mirrors to fit onto uneven walls please see the Image “18” Mirrors below. Image “6” are fitted as standard with our safety backing and are perfect in any environment where safety mirrors are also a priority.

Image “18” Mirrorss are fixed mechanically by our purpose made polished Aluminium “J” carriers to the perimeter, together with mastic, thereby avoiding the use of unsightly screw fixings, giving a uniform visual quality unobtainable by traditional gym mirror installers. Image “18” are a solution for the largest gym mirror designs. Unlike Image “6” mirrors, Image “18” can be applied directly to unfinished or uneven walls, they have an additional cushion provided the highest in safety standards and are most suitable in professional dance studio environments, so suit large dance studio mirror installations and large mirrors for gymnasiums. We can advise on suitable heights and widths to best suit your wall.
