Congratulations goes out today to Sandwell Borough Council for the official opening of the £8million project Tipton Leisure Centre. The Leisure Centre has been open since the beginning of April and was officially opened today by none other than Olympic Swimming Champion Rebecca Addlington.
For the leisure centre we installed our Image “6” Mirror product, Acrylic Mirrors and our double tier ballet barres. At Glass Installations we are involved with many professional and non professional sports facilities including the Olympic Games site itself. However we also feel proud to be involved in those facilities that will serve the general public and especially since this in the Midlands is close to our manufacturing site and is the first new facility of its kind to open in Sandwell for nearly 40 years.
Like many projects of this size Tipton Leisure Centre was years in planning. As installers of mirrors and ballet barres we are one of the last trades to fix. Some of the facilities at the centre include a 25-metre six-lane swimming pool, a 12.5 metre teaching pool, gym for fitness classes and a dance studio.
