A Government project, the aims of TOKKO was to bring together creative young people in a space that fits their needs. Together with Voluntary Action Luton (VAL), Wates Plc, Luton Borough Council(LBC) and the Luton Learning and Community Partnership (LLCP) and local volunteer bureaus TOKKO was designed and is run by young people.
The youth centre aims to offer activities to challenge the ambition of 14-19 year olds and maximise their potential. They can use the space to relax and chat, gain new skills and experiences with IT, games and training rooms for use as well as a climbing wall, dance studio and cafe.
Glass Installations was involved in designing their integrally fitted ballet barres and Image “18” Mirrors. The split height of the barres was uniquely fitted on separate mirrors side by side to allow for disabled and smaller children.
With the Image “18” mirror system’s unique safety design it was the first choice for safety in the centre whose aims we for the children to “be safe but be inspired: a place for them to make a difference for ourselves, our future and the community.”
Our Image “18” Mirror sit perfectly in any modern or traditional design and with their versatility can be fitted with any interior.
