The all new Kirkby’s Gym in Shefford is all set to open to the public. Owner, Chris Kirkby, contacted us with his requirement for high quality gym mirrors and mirror protection. His new gym boasts an impressive array of specialist equipment and facilities, as well as a range a beauty treatments.
The 5000 square foot gym contains the latest Precor cardio equipment, power lifting platform, as well as dumbbells ranging from 2.5kg to 50kg. The spin room holds a range of spin bikes. Whilst the fitness studio allows a range of fitness classes to take place. For anyone wishing to pamper themselves, there is a traditional sauna and state of the are sunbeds.
Chris and his team, aim to offer specialist advice, as well as a friendly welcome to all ages and abilities.
Gym Mirror Safety and Mirror Protection
As with any gym facilities, safety is paramount. Designed to the customers own specification, in this installation we used 6mm mirrors, safety backed to ensure a safe installation and edged at the top and bottom with aluminium trim. Also, for added safety and mirror protection, we installed aluminium checker plate protection around the bottom of the mirrors and walls. As a result, customers can use weights and equipment in these areas without worrying about their safety. The checker plate protection also helps guard against unexpected mirror repair and replacement costs.
Chris was looking to achieve an infinity effect by placing mirrors on opposite walls. Our installers fitted a large number of mirrors throughout the property, which created the perfect infinity effect as required.
Kirkby’s gym is to be officially open to the public on 27th February 2017.
